Dear Family Members,

Those of us who work in the Department of Wood & Paper Science at NC State (WPS) understand that the college decision process is a difficult one — we’ve been there ourselves, and we’ve helped others through it. Deciding on a school, a major, and then how to pay for it all, can lead to a very stressful time. But it doesn’t have to be stressful for long. We want you to know that if your student chooses a WPS undergraduate program, he or she will be coming into a small, supportive department that wants the best for all of our students. And we offer many services that can be of help to the entire family.

Through academic support and other advisory services, professional and personal development programs, as well as our large scholarship endowment we will prepare your student for an exciting and outstanding college experience that leads to a great start for a successful permanent career. We take a personal interest in all WPS students, treat every one of our students as individuals, and help them to achieve their very highest potential in every way we can.
