Aimeé Rockhill

Aimeé Rockhill graduated from SUNY Plattsburgh with a B.A. in Environmental Science in 1998.  She worked at NCSU under the direction of Dr. Charles Opperman on the Tobacco Genome Initiative Project for 3 ½ years before returning to graduate school.  She recently received her M.S. in Forestry at NCSU studying volume loss estimate techniques on loblolly pine due to ice storm damage.  Aimee is currently studying bobcat homerange, movement patterns, and dispersal at Bull Neck Swamp as partial fulfillment of a Ph.D. in the Fisheries and Wildlife Program under the direction of Dr. Christopher S. DePerno.  Also, Aimeé is developing a management plan for Bull Neck Swamp which includes timber and wildlife management.  The plan continues to be a ‘work in progress’ and may be viewed on the main Bull Neck Swamp webpage.
